Rocky Mountain
The Industry Leader in Commercial Driver Training
ABOUT US Dennis Dennis is our senior instructor. He started driving commercial vehicles in 1969, and teaching trucks in 1985. He has taught at ProDrivers since 2005. His focus is in the trucks delivering in town lessons and on the Advanced Mountain Training. He has a very significant background in the mountains and in the winter running the heaviest of the 8 axle trucks including fuel delivery. He is an ICBC certified Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 Instructor. He is also a Certified Air Brakes Instructor and ICBC assessment officer. Dennis's picture is of him in one of the trucks. Wayne Wayne is our Classroom instructor. He teaches Air Brakes, TDG/WHMIS and does our Defensive Driving courses and assessments for our commercial accounts which include CP Rail, Shell Oil, Esso, New Alta and Waste Management to name just a few. He travels to Invermere and Golden to deliver Air Brakes courses for the College of the Rockies. Wayne took his Class 1 with Advanced Mountain Training from our school in 2005 and then went out driving to build the hours necessary to be able to teach in the industry. He got his Air Brakes Instructors license in 2007 and came to work for ProDrivers immediately. He is an ICBC Certified Air Brakes Instructor and Assessment officer. Wayne's picture is of him when he taught the Motorhome Mama's their Air Brakes. Adrienne Adrienne is our office assistant. She is our support person and keeps the office and classroom running smoothly. She helps with the paper flow, answers the phones and keeps us all in line when necessary. Ya, she is my daughter. Gary
Gary is our new instructor. He has just started with us and will be in training for the next four months to get him up to speed. We have great expectations of Gary and his focus will be in-vehicle and in-classroom instruction of Air Brakes, Theory, TDG/WHMIS, Corporate courses and assessments. Gary's job will be to take some of the load off of Rocky, Dennis and Wayne. Picture to come.
I opened the doors at ProDrivers in Oct 2003. I worked for the previous owner for a year before I bought him out so have been teaching in Cranbrook since the fall of 2002. Before that I taught Commercial Driving in Victoria at the same school I got my Instructors license from. I have been teaching trucks since 2001. I am an ICBC certified Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 Instructor. I am also a Certified Air Brakes Instructor and ICBC assessment officer plus have my GLP and Truck Theory endorsement. My focus at the business is the front end which includes sales, business matters, communication, design of course materials, marketing and all of the other duties associated with the day to day operation of the school. On occasion I also teach in the classroom and the trucks, but mostly that is left up to the other staff members. The picture of me is in front of Blue, the first truck I had when I opened the business. We no longer have it in the fleet. Bear He is the company mascot and almost always at work. If you leave your lunch out on the tables while you are in the truck training, just remember, he doesn't like tomatoes. We call that picture "Toes to Nose". When I am at work, he is usually there.
